Edward I, 1272-1307. Penny, London Mint. Ex Montrave Hoard. NGC Encapsulated
Edward I long cross silver Penny from the Montrave Hoard of Scotland, discovered almost 150 years ago. The hoard was massive and included nearly 9,000 pennies of Edward I, Edward II and Edward III dating the 13th to 14th century. Approximately 2,000 of the coins and the pot were presented to the Museum of the Society of Antiquaries.
